self- sacrificing...

This term has been with us for as long as we can remember and yet we were blind to the deeper meaning.. this self that is sacrificed is the egoic consciousness.. why does this bring the emotion of Love and tears when we witness it.. because, it is the Presence of God in our midst.. the absence of self.. the presence of selflessness.. This is Divine Consciousness.. This is Who We Are.. but, the blinding of ego keeps us asleep.. This is why the elimination of ego consciousness is found in all the major religions and philosophies and is known as Mysticism.. although, it is well hidden under the banner of Unselfish Love and Saintly quotes.. The job that we have voluntered to accomplish upon entering this life form was to Realise this Reality of non-self that we call God and is actually Us,... hiding in illusion............ namaste, thomas
